Frequently Asked Questions
These are the questions that come up most often before a first booking. If yours is not here, the contact page reaches the team directly.
What this page answers
Six questions run through nearly every message our coordinators receive: how a booking moves from form to confirmed session, what happens during a consultation, which language everything is in, how fees are quoted, what the intake form actually asks you, and when a registered dietitian is the right first contact rather than a nutritionist.
Each answer below is written the way we would explain it on a first call, with the parts that are fixed and the parts that depend on your situation kept separate. Nothing here is a substitute for advice about your own case, and nothing here commits you to booking.
Booking and Scheduling
After you submit the intake form, a coordinator reviews it within one working day and matches you to a dietitian. You then choose a slot in your timezone and receive payment instructions. Sessions are confirmed once payment clears, and you get a reminder the day before.
Step one
Send the intake form through the booking page. It takes a few minutes, and you can describe a normal day of eating in your own words.
Step two
A coordinator reads it, asks anything that is unclear, and suggests a dietitian whose background fits what you described.
Step three
Pick a slot in your own timezone and receive the payment instructions for that session format and length.
Step four
Once payment clears, the session is confirmed. A reminder follows the day before, with the joining details for that call.
If a slot no longer works, reply to the confirmation and the coordinator will move it. Rescheduling early is easier than rescheduling on the morning of the session, and it keeps the dietitian's other appointments intact.
Consultation Format
Sessions run by video call or chat, in English. A first session is about 45 minutes; follow-ups are shorter. WhatsApp is used for coordination and quick questions, while nutrition advice happens in the scheduled session so there is a written record.
Video call
Camera on, so the dietitian can see food and portion context you hold up to the screen. Best when you want to walk through a full day of eating together.
Chat
Written exchange inside the scheduled window. Practical when you are answering from a workplace or travelling and cannot speak freely.
Coordination only
WhatsApp handles scheduling and short clarifying questions between sessions. Advice stays in the session, so the record of what was suggested is not split across threads.
Follow-up length depends on what the first session surfaced. A short review of how the week went is quicker than a full reassessment, and the dietitian will tell you which one your situation calls for before you are asked to book it.
Language
All consultations, the intake form, and your written plan are in English. Indonesian food names stay as they are, so you are not translating tempeh into an abstract category.
That last point matters more than it sounds. When a plan says tempeh, tahu, sayur asem, or nasi uduk, the dietitian means the dish you actually buy and cook. You will not be handed a translated ingredient list and asked to guess which market stall it came from.
If English is not the language you think in, say so in the intake form. The session can move at whatever pace you need, and the dietitian will write the plan in plain English rather than clinical shorthand.
In every session
- The conversation itself
- Your written plan and notes
- The intake form you filled in
- Indonesian dish names, untouched
Pricing Structure
Fees are quoted per session format and length, and single sessions, follow-up series, and ongoing coaching are priced separately. You receive the figure in writing before you commit.
What sets the figure
Whether you book a single session or a series, whether it is video or chat, and how long the session runs. The quote names each of these before you decide.
How you receive it
In writing, by message or email, before any payment is asked for. If something in the breakdown is unclear, ask again before you pay.
How you pay
Invoice or bank transfer, or in person at our Yogyakarta address during working hours.
What does not happen
There are no automatic renewals. A follow-up series continues only when you book the next session, and a single session does not turn into a subscription on its own.
If you need to cancel or move a paid session, the coordinator will explain the options when you write in. Earlier notice leaves more room to rebook the dietitian's time.
What the Intake Form Covers
Your goal, a rough picture of a normal day of eating, activity level, sleep, relevant medical history you choose to share, and any supplements or medicines. You do not need exact weights or calorie counts.
Your goal
Eating better with a health condition, gaining or losing weight, fuelling training, or simply understanding what a balanced week looks like for you.
A normal day of eating
Breakfast, lunch, dinner, and the snacks in between, described roughly. Approximate portions are fine — the dietitian reads for patterns, not precision.
Activity and sleep
How often you move, what that looks like, and roughly how your sleep runs across a usual week. Both change what is realistic to plan.
History and medication
Any relevant medical history you are comfortable sharing, plus supplements or medicines you take. You choose what to include; the dietitian will ask about the rest if it matters.
You do not need exact weights, calorie counts, or a food diary from a previous programme. If you have kept notes, they are welcome, but an honest description of a typical week is more useful than numbers you are unsure about.
Registered Dietitian or Nutritionist
If you have a medical condition, are pregnant, or take prescription medication, a registered dietitian is the safer first contact. Our team is built around registered dietitians. If your case needs a hospital dietitian desk, we will tell you.
That answer is not a sales line. Some situations belong with a hospital team that can order tests and work alongside your doctor, and saying so early saves you a session and a fee. When a question falls outside what an online consultation can reasonably cover, the dietitian says it plainly.
For everyday goals — building a sustainable week of meals, adjusting what you eat around training, or making sense of conflicting advice — a consultation with a registered dietitian is a sensible starting point, and the intake form is how that conversation begins.
An online session works through what you describe. Where a question needs a physical examination or a lab referral, the team will point you to the right place rather than stretch the format.
Ask before you book, not after.
